Spite is basically telling Rook that Lucanis just like...listens to Rook. Meaning he isnt just obeying or taking orders from them. He's relishing the sound of them speaking. When they are sitting eating dinner together, Lucanis is quietly just, taking in Rook's voice. In the pantry listening to Rook speak with someone else through the wall. Canonical Yapper Rook stealing minds and hearts over here.

My desire for additional romance content for Lucanis has nothing to do with Neve. Like seriously. We needed a date for them. Something not related to coffee either. A little gondola ride to show Rook Treviso, to maybe learn how he got into cooking, just...get to know each other. It is not that he is not romantic, he is, it is the lack of being able to just...interact with him.

Lucanis (and by extension, Spite) have been helping Bellara with her romance novel. Flowery language and smut metaphors lead Spite to some surprising conclusions.

As someone on the autism spectrum, I remember struggling with interpreting metaphor as a young person A LOT. As soon as it was introduced in Veilguard that Bellara was writing some smutty fanfiction, the first thoughts I had were "Oh, the neurospicy gang is gonna struggle." (Mainly Taash and Spite.) Part of an on-going series of fan-writings.
